Security Guard

Security guards work with the protection of critical facilities, where the demand for security is at its highest. As a security guard, you can either have a basic guard training with a shortened security guard training or have completed a longer basic training as a security guard. - A security guard approval from the county administrative board is also required. We have high demands on our security guards regarding personal qualities, experience in a public environment, and legal knowledge.

Working Hours:

Day, night, weekend.

Work Location:

Varies. It is beneficial if you live in or near Skövde, Lidköping, Trollhättan, Karlskoga, Örebro, Kristinehamn, Bergslagen. Overnight stays are included at certain sites. In general, staff work a couple of shifts in a row and then have time off.

Job Description:

The work will consist of patrolling and stationary guarding where high demands are placed on you as an individual to maintain a high level of security at the site, good collaboration skills with colleagues and clients, and the ability to make good decisions independently. Since the assignment involves long days and can at times be physically and mentally challenging, tests will be conducted both before and during employment.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has a valid (not older than five years) security guard training (civil or military), as well as a high school education with passing grades in Swedish and English. We would prefer that you have several years of experience in security within the private sector, or equivalent within one of our authorities. There will be high demands for security and confidentiality awareness from both our side and the client's side. Some additional training will be provided.

You also need to be unpunished, drug-free, have an orderly economy, and good health and fitness to be employed by Avarn Security. The positions are classified in a security class, which is why a security clearance will be conducted and why Swedish citizenship is required for all positions.

** If you have completed security guard training during military basic training, it is also valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than 5 years. If you have a security guard training from the armed forces without military basic training, you need to complete a shortened security guard training to work as a civilian security guard.
